Welcome to St Peter's

Choir

St Peter's has a small but dedicated choir directed by Garth Smith which enhances the liturgy and usually sings on the first Sunday of each month.

Extra choristers from other church choirs, Palmerston North Choral Society and Renaissance Singers swell the ranks for special services such as Easter, Christmas, Patronal Festivals and other extraordinaty occasions.

We combine with Camerata Choir for Good Friday which is a series of readings, meditations and anthems and for one of the pre-Christmas services during Advent, and with the Cathedral of the Holy Spririt for Ash Wednesday and the Blessing of the Advent Wreath.

St Peter's is also very fortunate to have three regular organists who play in rotation on Sundays - Garth Smith, Robert Cleaver and Yvonne Rae - and Alison Stewart who plays on Easter Sunday and Christmas morning.

Because of our church's excellent acoustics, it is a highly sought venue by visiting choirs.

We are always looking for more choristers. If you think this is could be you, please contact us.
